Summary:

In Eric Wilson’s article” Trust Me. You’ll Look Cool in This,” he points out that our fashion groupies spent the time on researching to find out what the modern fashion styles are. Ms. Caplan, the person who pays attention on element of fashion said that the goal of fashion shouldn’t focus on the money. Customers need to choose the clothes which fit their physical. Other designer who is called Ms. Jacksion states that customers scare that designers choose clothes for them because they don’t have enough confidence to wear. Ms. Caplan, claims that their fashion groupies are the leader of fashion, so they can give advice to customers that they must try to wear clothes which are unusual for the ordinary people. In summary, the author stresses that the fashion styles are not follow the celebrities’ steps or refer to magazines; therefore, designers suggest that people have to dress themselves in their own styles.

Reaction:

I agree with author’s theories. Fashion should add own styles which are not similar to other people. In my case, wearing appropriate clothes can help people who don’t have confidence. That’s why people fascinate the famous brands. According to the article, designers should focus on modes instead of the prices. If designers can make clothes which have special devising, they would raise the price. Actually, fashion often confuses the customers because people believe that famous brands can show their status. For example, I like to buy the decorations of Gucci, for I want to show that I understand fashion and I know that how to wear clothes. But it’s so fool in the designers’ opinions, they think that following famous brands are not real fashion. However, prices of named brands can not represent status of people. In conclusion, customers should know that what I should wear and which brand I can buy. Especially, customers shouldn’t spend much money on purchasing famous brands.

violence problem in Columbine

Columbine was a problem about violence because they were able to have guns. The country or city which is able to have guns always have violent problems. For example, in American guns are available; therefore, children have the chance to get guns to do whatever they want. It’s very dangerous because I can use a gun to kill the person who I hate as I would play violent games. The best way to solve is when people aren’t allowed to have guns; even if children are affected by violent games, they can’t get guns easily. On the other hand, violent games also are big problems for children and teens. They spend more than 4 hours playing them in one day. Even though, people stop them from playing games, they will still find games from another way. Therefore, I think that I will allow them to play violent games, but I will make a deal with them such as don’t kill or hurt person in your real life. In conclusion, people have to hide the guns and teach their children that what the correct way in the society is.

Taik (Local style Taiwanese)

There are many stereotypes in Taiwan. I will write one of most interest stereotypes which is call Taik. Actually, we can see the Taki in any city of Taiwan. Especially, most of them live in the southern of Taiwan. They have some special characteristic such as wearing fitting trousers, wearing fancy shirt, dying hair which is red, gold, yellow purple, having long hair, having tattoo, wearing white blue sandal, wearing gold watch and necklace, smoking all free time and speaking transnational traditional Chinese language. Therefore, most of Taik aren’t acceptance in Taiwan because some of them relate mafia and also bother women. In my opinion, they think that they are handsome and rich so most women should like them but it’s not true. However, Taik always make me feel disgusting, but sometime they make me feel funny. Because they never give up finding women who can make couple with them, they usually find many women in the same time. Finally, those behavior make that Taiwanese should sad or happy because their behaviors are so funny, but sometime it’s too rude. In my cause, I’m not proud of them because I think that they should consider that if their behaviors are correct or not.

Summary:

In the author’s article, “China Fashion Week opens with 'simple' theme,” the author says that simple is always the best style in the fashion. First of all, the first-rate young designers display China’s designers design fashion of clothes, so China creates fashion shows such as New York. Even if poor economics influence them, they don’t give up fashion. Second, the banging of fashion shows week is new China’s 60th anniversary, and also they use simplicity to celebrate the China’s 60th anniversary, because simplicity and fashion are always called equal. Therefore, China’s fashion shows don’t care about the decay and famous brands, and also don’t point out too much extra decoration, because they want to keep simplicity. Then, more than 40 fashion shows will be created in Beijing fashion week. However, the design of another designer who is from Spain affected the author to unseal the designer’s new idea. Finally, the author says some simple type of clothes always point out that “simplicity is best”. In conclusion, simple is always the best style in fashion because all of exhibit clothes, which are simple feature.

Reaction:

I’m very glad that the famous have already changed to the simple pattern because fashion always designs clothes which have complicated color and style. One day, I wondered about who designed the fashion direction. Is it designers or customers? I searched in Google and I couldn’t find the answer, but I thought that the customer must decide the fashion way. For the example: if a designer designed 20 vogues of clothes, which have difference sort, the customer would choose only 3 clothes. The meaning is three of twenty styles is popular and fashion for customers. In my experiences, I like to follow the weather to wear clothes, but some people only follow the fashion. For example, some people from pursue the famous star’s styles and didn’t have their own styles. Finally, after I graduate C.E.S.L, I will study fashion design. I hope that I can be the famous designer in the future. Even though I have never been to the fashion design shows and have never designed fashions, I still have confidence to do it because I want to help people who have never known how to dress by themselves. That is the biggest reason I want to be the designer and also have private brands, which are sold cheaper than other brands.

The National Flag of Taiwan

Each country has difference flag. Before I describe the flag, I have to explain something about Taiwan’s flag. Since Taiwan has flag, it changed twice. First time is on October, 23^rd, 1954. The last time is on May, 1978. So now let me describe the color of shape of Taiwan’s flag, it has 3color such as blue, white and red. There are 12 white triangles which are around a white circle on the blue background. Every colors and shapes symbolize difference meanings. The blue represents freedom, the white emblems peace and the red symbolize philanthropy. The twelve triangles symbolizes that one year has twelve months and also represents that life of nation and people who live in Taiwan keep pace with the times. Actually, I don’t like the shape of Taiwan’s flag, but I like the meaning which can encourage me to study hard. However what is the meaning of Taiwan's flag, I still love Taiwan because I am Taiwanese.

Tokyo Drift

Tokyo Drift

Have you ever seen people who drive rare sport cars by drifting them in the street? I think that a lot of men who love expensive and rare sport cars very much want to drive special cars and drift in the street. After I saw this amazing racing movie, I could not forget the racing game, prefect driving skills (drift) and the fighting with gangs.

Racing games are exciting but can bring a lot of trouble. In the movie the tall thin American person, who is called Sean, is the main actor in the movie. He always makes racing trouble for his parents. His old parents divorced when he was a cute child. His father is in Japan, and his mother is in the U.S.A. He transfers to many universities because of this reason. Even though he is in the new universities, he still makes big dangerous problems because of racing. In this case, he needs into terrible jars when his mother decided to move him to his father’s house, which is in beautiful Japan. She thought Japan could help him to study hard without the racing. Unfortunately, Japan is very crazy racing and reforming Japanese cars.

Drift is very popular in Japan because there are many brands of cars such as Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and Honda. When he is in Japan, Sean finds one nice seller who is an American called Twinkie. After that, Twinkie becomes a metropolitan guide and he takes Sean to a party which is at the circular parking building. Before Sean came to Japan, he didn't know what drift is or how to drift. Unfortunately, he has the same problems as before; he has to race with short ugly man who is called D.K, (king of drift), who works in the old traditional Japanese gangs in there, because Sean talked with a sexy girlfriend of D.K. Her name is Neola. Han who is a colleague of D.K hears that he feels so interest in racing so he decided to lend the most beautiful orange car to him to race against D.K. After that he knew that he couldn’t drift and he also broke the most beautiful orange car that he borrowed from Han. He has to become Han’s own driver to compensate for damages. Han also taught him how to drift. A few months later, they become the bosom friends.

Japan has a lot of gangs. They are powerful in the economy. Actually, Han still traded with D.K for cash, and they have illegally gambled on the exciting racing games. That is reason why he needed Sean to be his own racer. One day, Han is killed by D.K, because Sean bothered his girlfriend several times and Han also swindles his money on their illegal trading. After Han is killed, his faster cars and specialized factories are destroyed by D.K. Even though he does not have enough money and basic cars for avenging, but he still wants to avenge Han death. Finally, Sean made a deal with D.K on racing. However, his father, Twinkie and friends of Han knew that they figured out they didn’t have money and powerful cars. If Sean wins the race he could do whatever he wants to do and get Neola. If he loses he had to get out of Japan and stay a way from Neola. In a result of the contest, Sean won Neola, high status in his Japanese school, a racing building where they drift.

In conclusion, this is the only movie, which I can’t forget. The rare sports cars and exciting driving skills (drift) made me remember this forever. Therefore, I will see it in the theater when the theater provides movies which relate to cars or racing. However, the special sport car, drift and gangs fighting influence my interesting in cars. I always introduce my friends who like cars to watch it. It’s a really nice movie.

my room

My room

My room is very interesting place for me and my girlfriend. My room has a lot of furniture, which is L shape, has a dark brown color and looks valuable. There are also 3 computers and one laptop in my room. Because those make me stay my room all the time, I always do my difficult homework and watch drama, such as Prison Break, Friends, Alias or watch CNN with my girlfriend in my room. CNN is terrible because the anchorperson tells news too faster. Actually, my girlfriend and I always gulp food which is cooked by me, and we also mutter complicated about homework in my room after finishing CESL(second language school) classes. Even though my room has expensive furniture, my girlfriend always smells disgusting aroma. Although I’ve never smelled that, she insists on her opinion. She says that I have to use a noisy vacuum cleaner to clean my stinky room every weekend. Even though I do not feel like cleaning my room, I have to do that, because I want her to be happy all the time in my room. Finally, I spent a lot of times designing my room, and it is very beautiful now. Therefore, I am glad that I can have such a perfect room in the U.S.A.
